Welding

Welding in an enormously flexible and versatile process. With the right equipment almost any metal can be joined.

The welding process permanently fuses the two metals together creating a joint which can be at least as strong as the base metal, in many cases stronger.

The processes I use in my work are :

•MMA - (Manual Metal Arc) commonly called 'stick' welding.
This technique is great for heavy section steel. I also use it
for texturing surfaces, building up thickness and applying
contrasting metals.

•MIG (Metal Inert Gas). A quick and convenient welding
method, ideal for general fabrication in mild steel.

•TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas). The Rolls-Royce of welding, this
process is time consuming but the pay-off is an high
degree of control, producing welds of excellent quality and
appearance.
